Offset Autopilot speed from the speed limit

Read this tip to understand the difference between relative and absolute speed limit chimes.

There are two “speed limit” modes in a Tesla’s “Driving” settings. One triggers a chime when you drive above an absolute speed (say 80mph) and the other triggers a chime when you drive a certain relative speed over the speed limit (say +5 mph).

What the menu doesn’t tell you is that setting the relative speed to +5 means Auto pilot will automatically start at 70mph in a 65mph zone, even if you switch the chime mode back to “absolute”.
