Simply press and hold both scroll wheels and the brake peddle until you see the Tesla T logo.
So this happened to Jonathan from the UK when he came back from a flight. The computer of his Tesla Model 3 had crashed.
The pressing and holding both scroll wheels and the brake peddle could take 1 minute. It reboots the system. For just a reset of the touch screen, see this tip.
NOTE: Tesla Model S and Model X owners have to press and hold both scrollwheels AND both buttons above the scrollwheels AND the brake peddle to achieve this.
